AmericInn by Wyndham Bay City

The AmericInn in Bay City was perfect for our needs for one night. Manager at check in, the manager upgraded our room to a jacuzzi suite at no charge. That was very nice of him. The one negative is that the pool looked like it could use some maintenance, it was very cloudy. We used the hot tub and that was very clean and nice.

Not a bad place to hook up for the night if you are traveling or in a pinch. They have complimentary breakfast and the cost to stay is reasonable. They have a fireplace and a pool. 2 floors of rooms are available and the parking can hold up to twenty or more cars.

We got two nights here for a mid winter mid week getaway. We were looking for an inexpensive place that had a nice pool and Jacuzzi, a free breakfast and that allowed our pet Golden doodle and this was a great choice. The indoor pool area was beautiful with a powerful spacious off to the side Jacuzzi and a swimming pool. There was a hot shower to rinse off under in a semi enclosure and a large family style bathroom that had a lock on the door. Pool hours were 7 am to 10 pm and everything was very handicap friendly. The coffee was of good quality and that is coming from a couple of coffee snobs. The o.j and apple juice were 100% juice, there was fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, assorted breads, muffins and waffle makers. The large waffle maker was the one to use as the waffles came out easily. Nice fireplace area in the lobby and a business desk. The room was clean and the beds and bedding were great. The heating and cooling unit ran great but use the wall control not the ones on the unit itself as those were bypassed. Room has a bathroom with a tub/shower and water was always hot. There is a separate area with the sink, mirror, etc. The parking lot is super well lit and secure. Nice area outback for walking the dog too. Great stay, wonderful staff!

I was nervous due to the reviews of this place. But we decided to stay here anyway as it was only for one night. The first room we were put in did have an odor. I let the man at the front desk know and he gave us a new room that was much better. I am confident that the rooms are clean as I could see the housekeepers doing a very thorough cleaning as I passed by the rooms. The pool is nice, clean and the water wasn’t too cold. They had a nice breakfast out in the morning. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here if you are passing through the area.

It was clean. The staff was nice. It was the first hotel that charged per day per pet. Usually most places charge one fee for the entire time or a deposit that is refunded. The breakfast was ok just waffles, microwave breakfast sandwiches, breads and cereals.

The place is small, has a nice pool, and conference rooms if you need one of those. Small Dinning room with breakfast. It's right off the highway, which makes for easy access. Decent prices, makes for a fun get away with the family to a small out of the way place.

I have stayed here many times in the past when traveling with my dogs. It is always a comfortable, safe place to stay. Staff always makes me feel welcome. Room was extremely clean and I did notice a few things around the hotel that had been broken in the past were now repaired.
